I Gave My Blog a Makeover

So, I decided I should make my blog look a bit more interesting––hence the new background, layout, heading, etc.

As you can see, I also added a couple new pages (because I just figured out how to do that). So now you can read about me and my writing. :)

I now have over 150 followers and almost 10,000 page views (yikes) so I'm thinking I should start taking this thing more seriously––which means I hope to post more often, and to make my posts a bit more concise so no one has to drown in my rambling.

Thoughts on the new blog design? Suggestions for topics to write about?

You have a brain. Use it to comment. :)

  3. I like the new background! Very classy, although seeing the sidebar on the other side is surprising. O.o I'm sure I'll get used to it soon, though.

Some topics I would be interested in seeing are as follows (sorry if you've already blogged about them and I didn't realize):

Editing your writing. What process do you typically go through?

Agents. Could you do a step-by-step guide on how you wrote your query letter? Also, how did the agents respond? This is the most nerve wracking part for me and my writing...

If I have more ideas, I'll let you know! Thanks. :)

  4. Hello Cora! Thank you. I'm glad you like the new background! Yes, I'm getting used to the side bar thing too. lol.

    Thank you for your suggestions!

I actually did do a post on editing a while back: http://mylifeasateenagenovelist.blogspot.com/2010/07/wonderful-post-on-editing.html

Of course, I can always write more on the subject. It never gets old. ;)

And I was planning on doing a post on queries/agents soon, so keep checking the blog! :)

  5. Ooh, pretty! Not sure I have any great suggestions for topics... Maybe something on process, but from the very beginning? I can't remember if you've talked about that before. Not necessarily inspiration (unless you have a lot to say on that; I find it kind of murky), but maybe how you get out a first draft.

  6. Thanks, Eleanor! Hmm I'm not sure if I've ever written about that ... if I haven't, then I'll look into doing so. Thank you for the suggestion! :)
